Différent de l'hiver décrit par Tobias Möckl avec le vent qui hurle à pleins poumons, différent de l'hiver statique de Neige et Noirceur, Imber Luminis propose sa propre vision de l'hiver dans Winter Fallings. On est entre la vie et la mort : le froid n'est pas insupportable mais affreusement morne ; les oiseaux sont partis, sauf les corvidés et leurs symphonies de jacassements et croassements. Il n'y a aucune ambiguïté sur cet E.P. et la tristesse prend à la gorge, mais il est très nuancé !
